Michaella Fusco

Senior Visualization Artist | Soft Goods & Material Specialist

I create photorealistic product imagery for the home furnishings industry, with a particular focus on soft goods, textile materials, and the details that make them feel real. My work combines technical precision with an understanding of fabric behavior, material construction, and natural styling.

About

With nearly 10 years of experience in 3D visualization, I specialize in creating high-quality imagery for furniture, textiles, and home interiors. My background in architecture informs my approach to composition, proportion, and spatial relationships, while years of specializing in soft goods have given me a deep understanding of cloth simulation and material development.

MATERIAL APPROACH

Built around the behavior of soft things.

Simulation with intention

Soft goods should respond naturally to gravity, weight, contact, and movement. I use cloth simulation as a starting point, then refine each asset to create believable folds, gathering, compression, and interaction.

Materials with depth

From woven throws and quilted bedding to terry cloth and translucent drapery, I build materials around the physical qualities of the textile—using custom maps, displacement, V-Ray Fur, and carefully developed surface properties to create dimensional realism.

Styled to feel natural

Realism is more than accurate geometry. I consider how pillows settle against one another, how a throw falls across furniture, how fabric gathers at an edge, and how small imperfections make an image feel lived-in rather than arranged by a computer.

Get in Touch

I’m always interested in connecting about visualization opportunities, creative collaborations, and projects involving product imagery, soft goods, and material development.
